This is a rough iced cake.
Making leaves look realistic. After they are rolled out on wires, formed, they are painted with edible food colourings.
I have steamed them to bring out their colours, once they are dry I will add a brown shade over the entire leaf and around the edges to create a more natural look.
These tall cakes were made for a dinner party. Inside there are layers of flavour. Bottom layer Butter lemon, middle layer is walnut, esspresso and the top a yummy Butter vanilla bean. Each layer was separated with a frangelico chocolate ganache and rough iced with butter frangelico cream.
They were really nice to eat hehehheeee
Thats a pretty marbled engagement cake.
I made these gerbra’s with some icing that I had left over from other work. They are very fragile but I think they will look great on cupcakes
